While praying the Rosary today I had this awesome thought.
I think I may have said something of this before.
My Grandfather and your Great Grandfather was Clement Samuel Horn.
Nell's father.
I remember him as a very sweet, funny and Godly man.
As he lay in his bed in our home, Jeffries House, Jeffries Lane. Goring by sea, Sussex, maybe you might get a chance to visit it, it is a national monument and close to where you might all be for Christmas, writing his memoirs, and I would sure love to get a hold of them, I would often find him underlying in a red ink pen his leather bound King James Bible, which out of all his grandchildren, 9 in all, he left to me..
Sadly I did not treasure it and I have no idea where it is now. Maybe Nick has it????
I was upstairs in bed with the flu when he died and as the undertakers carted him off they asked my mum rather ghoulishly if they might soon be required again for me. Ha!
Anyway I was thinking about him and I realised what a work of complete grace that God would influence him to influence us as a continued work of Grace in our family. I am sure he is praying for us just as we are praying for him.. I sometimes remember to pray for my ancestors...Anyway all that to say that we have three adult Roman Catholics in our family, not counting the children and it gives me such a sense of security to realise that Our Holy Mother has got them and all of us continually in her sites.
As far as I know nothing serious like a death or accident has happened to any of them... Correct me if I am wrong... as you will know better than me..
The Rosary Prayer is such an awesome prayer and has great power!!!

About me and my desire to promote The Catholicism project

Please allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Michael Jaffray King and I am a British convert to the Catholic Faith, about 8 years ago, living in the Cologne area of Germany.
I am a Lay Missionary in the Parish of Gummersbach.. My Parish Priest is Monsignor Paul Klauke who is sadly recuperating from a serious brain tumour operation.. We pray that he will make a complete recovery.
I have been a close follower of EWTN the Catholic worldwide channel started by Mother Angelica some 28 years ago and this channel together with Father Bob and CS Lewis and Peter Kreeft and John Montignoni and Friar Joseph of noapologies, have all been and still are being very helpful to me in my formation of being a Roman Catholic Missionary and Apologist on the Internet where I am quite active.
I am very privileged to be the Ambassador for Germany, so you may well ask why am I writing to you for help in promoting this world changing project... The Catholicism Progect..of Father Robert Barron of www.wordonfire.org
Hopefully you already know about this project and if this is the case then I will be very happy... But if not please read and study carefully the Trailer and Preview of this soon to be completed project.
As this project has not yet been translated into German, I thought it a wise move to approach you to ask for your help!!!!

Closing ones eyes can help us to see in the Spirit
Open and closed Eyes!!!!
I am a very visual kind of person.
We all are!!!... Let's face it!!!
We see a beautiful View...
Could be a Movie..
Could be a Cathedral interior..
Could be a Starry Sky or an Alpine Mountain Scene..
Plus...Plus...Plus...
And it moves us.
We feel better..
But many times too, if the object of our attention is not to our liking, then instead of becoming negative and judgemental, JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES..and see Jesus in that situation.. He is there and by closing ones eyes we see Him!!
I have a very great friend and on Christmas day he gave me a very good tip...
He has very bad eyesight and his condition is incurable. In his own words he says, “I see like through a tightly netted veil!”
I have been having problems in Church...
Do you have problems in Church too?
I look at one Priest or Preacher or members of the congregation,and I like what I see or some times I do not like what I see.
By closing my eyes I am learning to see Jesus and not just the person or event.
During Holy Mass, this is a very visual affair..
However many times like my half or three quarter blind friend told me..One can see so much better with closed eyes.. Blot out the personalities and instead see Jesus.
See Jesus in them..
He is in them even when they are behaving not to our liking..
For me this is a very good tip and I am very grateful for the lesson.

The house we lived in will be torn down and another more modern edifice will replace it..

The modern building where we had our Christian gatherings will also be absent.
Why should I care???
I will not be there...

I want to belong to something more permanent than an idea or an interpretation..
I want to belong to something really lasting...
I want to belong to something that does not really depend on my input or lack of it..
I want to belong to a ROCK that will batter down the Gates of Hell.
I want to belong to the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven.
And so?????
The answer is I do and I have been desperately trying to show you all how simply beautiful and true and awesome and commonsensical it all is..

I am a BEGGAR and I have found the everlasting bread, not just a replica or a man baked loaf that will inevitably go stale and disappear.
I have been eating this bread in one form or another for over 40 years but now I have found in the last 8 years, The Heavenly Permanent variety.. Matthew Ch 16 v 18... I will build my Church...
This is bread baked by Jesus Christ Himself..
It is a 2000 year old loaf and in spite of abuse from within and without, it never goes stale but remains fresh and hot oven baked for eating 24/7...for ever until the end of the age..
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR..

No more traipsing off to the Public Library and laboriously ploughing your way through books that might or might not be there.

Today is Christmas eve...
In a few hours from now we celebrate the birth of a Jewish Baby.
This seemingly insignificant birth changed the world... Yes it changed the whole world.. Every life that has ever lived in time... Billions...
One baby born to a sweet Jewish Virgin and a Foster Father changed everything.
Without this event from 2000 years ago we would be wallowing in pointlessness.
We would be lost in space..
Maybe you have prayed this simple prayer before???
Pray it again and again and bring more meaning to your life.

My eldest daughter just phoned me from her railway train where she is going on holiday with her students, to exhort me to go to Holy Mass!!!
That's really good news!!!!!
Recently we met a Lady from our Church (One of those Pillars!)on the walking streets.
We offered her a Rosary for a small donation..
She replied that she had many and did not need any more..
So my wife said to her, as we say to many..
“Well maybe you would like to give us a small donation,even 20 cents will be a help!! for Christmas???”
“Oh no!” She replied...
“I do not give to Beggars!!”
Irmgard was shattered and then the Lord allowed another young man to come up to us and ask for prayer for his daughter who has Leukaemia. This kind of request happens to us all the time as we pray a variation of the above Jesus prayer to 100s every month.
It was tempting to be upset at this Lady until we gave her to Jesus.. We realised that she had not been so blessed and needed our prayers..
We have nothing...NOTHING.. that we did not receive..
Luk 17:10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
On This memorable Christmas Eve A very very happy and meaningful Christmas..

We are not just another denomination....
We are either real Christians, or rather totally misguided and a part of that huge structure of what today is called Catholicism??????...
We are either the Splendour of Truth or we are nothing at all, and should be discarded and banned from this world???????..
We worship Consecrated Bread and Wine believing that it is Jesus Christ Himself physically in our presence...
We confess our sins not directly to God but through a Priest..
We claim to be the original Christian Church.. see Matthew Ch 16 v 18...
We claim to be the Body of Christ on earth today...
We are not a Democracy!!! But a Theocratic Dictatorship in which the Apostles Doctrines are not up for grabs and for personal interpretation.
We claim not to have the AUTHORITY to ordain women Priests, and allow divorce, and birth control, and Euthanasia, and Abortion, and Homosexual marriages, as this was never allowed by Jesus Christ and the Apostles.
We claim that all the other 38,000? or 3800? or 380? denominations to be missing out on some really important features like those mentioned above.
We claim that the Bible is Our Book handed down by an infallible Church and we believe that our Interpretation of it is the right and only correct one.
We are either the Enemy as the World so treats us or we are ITTTTTTTTT????????!!!!!!!!
I want to wish you a wonderful and realistic Happy Birthday Jesus Party!!!!!

There is seemingly though, one very good reason not to be a Catholic, and that is.... wait for it....
Catholics!!!!
We are not a Museum of Saints but rather a Hospital for sinners.
This argument however shows that although we have some Pedophile Priests..about 0.2%
And very self righteous members, maybe 98% including meeeeeeeee!
We just keep rolling along and gathering more and more to our numbers....
THAT IN ITSELF IS A MIRACLE OF GOD!!!
That shows that either God or Satan is doing a very good job in keeping this antique vehicle on the road???????..
The choice is up to you!!!
There is no compromise center position!!!!!
Just as there is no compromise center position over Jesus Christ.

The Eucharist!!
Well!! I am embarking on a new course..
I have written pages and pages and send them out on the internet to all of you.
Of course I realise that many of you do not have the time nor inclination to read what I have to say.
So why do I do it?
Because for two reasons.
One is that I do not want to enter Heaven alone, just because I refused to share all the amazing Truths that I am finding out...
And second, that by sharing it makes it more real for me.
When one teaches something by passing it on, that something becomes more deeply rooted in ones mind.
So here is my first TRUTH that I want to share.
Yes you are right it is on my favourite subject... Prots and Cats...
We actually have a very great deal in common.
We both love Jesus and are trying to follow Him.
We both respect the Holy Scriptures.
So where is the difference?
We Catholics go into ecstasies over worshipping a small piece of bread, a wafer, and wine because we believe that when consecrated by an ordained Priest, that this really becomes the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is the Summit and Soul of our FAITH...
If that is false, then we are most definitely Idol worshippers.
If it is true then it is the most significant and most wonderful thing that Jesus left us after His Resurrection and Ascension.

Well!! I am embarking on a new course..
I have written pages and pages and send them out on the internet to all of you.
Of course I realise that many of you do not have the time nor inclination to read what I have to say.
So why do I do it?
Because for two reasons.
One is that I do not want to enter Heaven alone, just because I refused to share all the amazing Truths that I am finding out...
And second, that by sharing it makes it more real for me.
When one teaches something by passing it on, that something becomes more deeply rooted in ones mind.
So here is my first TRUTH that I want to share.
Yes you are right it is on my favourite subject... Prots and Cats...
We actually have a very great deal in common.
We both love Jesus and are trying to follow Him.
We both respect the Holy Scriptures.
So where is the difference?
We Catholics go into ecstasies over worshipping a small piece of bread, a wafer, and wine because we believe that when consecrated by an ordained Priest, that this really becomes the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is the Summit and Soul of our FAITH...
If that is false, then we are most definitely Idol worshippers.
If it is true then it is the most significant and most wonderful thing that Jesus left us after His Resurrection and Ascension.

Can I, a mere mortal creation of God, improve the Truth??? The splendour of Truth, handed down since the time of Jesus and the Apostles??????
Original sin is to want to play God...
Excuse me Sir! or Mam, I want to be God! Get out of my way please!
You see the point is that these rules were made 2000 years ago and are not up to date..
The world wasn't overcrowded so of course artificial birth control, abortion, Euthanasia and Divorce are all a part of My right to choose.
What God said is out of date...
I know better because I have studied and I am a PHD in History etc etc etc....
ALSO a very very very important point..... I have the Bible in my language and can read it and interpret it any way I like...I am smart and why should I believe what has been handed down by fuddy duddy old men and women from yesteryear????
If you implicitly believe the Bible then let me ask you a few questions about your obedience to it and especially to those red letter high lighted words of Jesus Christ Himself.
Mark Ch 16 verse 15 say very plainly.... “ Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to very creature!”
Did you do that and are you doing that??????
Jesus said to forsake all and give up everything and follow Him... Did you and are you doing that???
“Go sell everything you have and give to the poor and come and follow me!” This is not a suggestion but a command.

In Jesus' Church every Priest, every Friar, every Nun, has to forsake all and do as they are told by the chain of command.
I as a lay person am not expected to do this although I have opted for this all my Christian life.
I did not know about the Division of full time and part time followers set up by Jesus and the Apostles. So I opted for the full time...
Now hopefully you are beginning to see just how foolish and dangerous it is to act independently and not come under the Umbrella of Christ's ordained Church.
This recent event in Baghdad brings this out very clearly..
These people did not die a clean death as in a beheading or guillotining where death is instantaneous, but slow and painful from mortal wounds which left them bleeding and dying in terrible pain.
We are playing a very dangerous game...
That is why Jesus prayed for us all to be one..
What a stupid and silly prayer for Jesus to pray unless it was a distinct possibility..
Yes for this prayer of Christ's to be answered there has to be obedience on the part of the believers.
No hot shot individual... My way is right!!!
If you watch the You Tube Movie on the life of Saint Padre Pio of Petrocina, you will see how important obedience and submission is especially when it seems so unfair.
I re watched this free movie during the Halloween celebrations and am always moved by it and encouraged too.

Being a Roman Catholic...
Of course there are many aspects of being a Roman Catholic...BUT...
This came to me very strongly today on All Saints Day and also my Names Day.. Michael...But no Angel... Yet....Ha!!!
There is only one real Reason to be a Roman Catholic...
It's all about Jesus and has nothing REPEAT NOTHING to do with the Priests good or bad... People that you may or may not meet after Holy Mass, good or bad..Fellowship good or bad...
It's all about Jesus in the Eucharist and also about His Holy Virgin Mother and my Mother too...
People including yourself and myself will let you badly down from time to time and if your faith is in them, then you will go into a tail spin and crash...That's a promise!!!
If you are a Catholic because you want to have good experiences with People, then become a Protestant. But beware because they do not last... Why???? Because they are Human and crash and split ad nausea.
I want Jesus and more and more of Him and His Holy Mother....
This has nothing to do with good or bad examples of other Christians..
It is all about having a very deepening ever deepening, no standing still.. kind of I've arrived... But ever ever deepening relationship with HIM . Hour by hour and day by day....
If you want really good and reliable friends then choose all or any of the Saints... They like Jesus and His Mother will never let you down.
If you have a good priest or a good friends and good fellowship, then that is a bonus....
Do not ever ever ever put your trust in them though because that is all human stuff and can go terribly wrong...
One more thing
Being a Catholic is being part of a Theocracy.. God is absolute Boss and works down through the chain of Command..
Pope, Archbishops, Bishops, Priests, deacons and last laity
Absolutely no Democracy..
God set it up and He knows exactly what He is doing.
We little gods trying to be better than God will always want to say we know better..
Rubbish!!! He knows better and What He set up cannot and never will be changed to suit some democratic opinion.
Be very very very thankful to have found a Rock so much higher than you or me.. Thank God for that Rock.. He changes not...

Where does one begin???
They say rather obviously that the very best place to begin is at the beginning.
I am writing this with two very precious young ladies in mind.
One was the subject of great cruelty at my hands when I dealt harshly with her and her Mum some 18 years ago.
At the time I thought that I had done the right thing but the consequences that followed my action produced great and unnecessary pain especially for the young girl of 11.
Now this extremely precious and unique young lady in her thirties, hates religion and wants no part in it.
Mercifully they have both forgiven me but want no part of my beliefs..
Under the circumstances that is totally understandable and so I am having a shot at trying to reverse the hatred for religion and especially the Roman Catholic Church.
The sect that I used to belong to believed that the name Religion was closely associated with the contempt that the Communists had for Religion, calling it the Opium of the People.
I like the Communists held strongly to that view too.

But with only a limited education in Algebra, to have a Design, not just a simple random design but the most intricate and totally intelligent design of the Human Brain for example or the Galaxies or the structure of a Plant or Animal... The mind boggles at it all???? there must be a designer.

.A self inflicted bad day!!
I wonder if you ever have days like I had yesterday?
I woke up worrying!!!
Whenever I worry it is always about Cash..
Even though I can look back on 45 years as a Christian living entirely by faith without ever experiencing the failure of God, somehow this fact does not register on a self inflicted bad day!
We are not going to make it.
We are going to go bust and then Irmgard will have to get a crabby job in a factory which will take her away from the home for 12 hours a day.
God is going to fail us.. He cannot and will not keep up this miracle life of ours for ever.
Well let me tell you one thing very plainly.. God has never let me and my family down.
Irmgard was trying her best to explain this to me, but I couldn't find the brake.
I was going down hill backwards and gathering speed.
We took our Rosaries and arm bands and literature onto the walking street, and all morning I was proved right. We did not make enough cash to pay the Diesel, let alone the food bills.
Having Mikey and Dave to stay has added a great deal to our expenses.
It is such a privilege to have them but with two extra and sometimes three extra hungry mouths to feed has doubled our expenses.
Electricity is more than doubled.
Water consumption and waste water is also 2 to 3 times more.
By midday we were really not cutting the mustard so after prayer we decided to go to a small town called MUCH.
To our joy we found a Shell garage which was selling Diesel at a very very reasonable price and so we took the opportunity to fill the tank.
Yes this made me pleased a bit.
Over Halloween we had spent over a 100 Euro on fun and food and treats.
Now in Much we needed to make at least 50 E to make up.
For some reason the Children Money office each October decides not to give us more Kindergeld..
Crazy and so we have to fight for it..
Last week we did our fighting and they said they would send it, but it did not arrive.
I tried to put a brave face on all these factors and spent 2 hours in Much getting no where and instead of thinking about all the souls I should be winning onto the right path as I usually do I just got more discouraged.
Irmgard cheerful and unworried as usual was working in a car park independently from me.
When I got back to her and it was time to head for home, I found that she had had a wonderful time and many Rosaries and Literature out and many people helped in their faith.. I was a real shamer and to top it all she had 45 Euro which with my measly 5 made the 50 we had prayed for. The Children money also arrived..
God had blessed her and not me for obvious reasons.
When will I ever learn???

After the horrific events in Baghdad where scores of Catholic Worshippers were slain, it appears that this was a revenge for a really stupid and I would say wicked gesture by one of those Pastors of one those thousands of Protestant sects that had decided to burn The Koran in front of his little church.
An organisation calling itself The Christian Voice, acclaimed this Pastor as Heroic!???????
This is why I keep posting Pro Catholic blogs to show just how dangerous it is to play God, interpreting the Roman Catholic Scriptures handed down to you on a plate, the way that suits you. You have no authority no structure and are out of control. I hope that you are all preparing yourself for Martyrdom, because this is where this blatant stupidity is taking us.
Sadly those Muslim fanatics think that all Christians are one... We are not one and never will be until you all learn to stop playing God and get under the Umbrella of the Church that Jesus himself initiated in Matthew Chapter 16 verse 18..

.A self inflicted bad day!!
I wonder if you ever have days like I had yesterday?
I woke up worrying!!!
Whenever I worry it is always about Cash..
Even though I can look back on 45 years as a Christian living entirely by faith without ever experiencing the failure of God, somehow this fact does not register on a self inflicted bad day!
We are not going to make it.
We are going to go bust and then Irmgard will have to get a crabby job in a factory which will take her away from the home for 12 hours a day.
God is going to fail us.. He cannot and will not keep up this miracle life of ours for ever.
Well let me tell you one thing very plainly.. God has never let me and my family down.
Irmgard was trying her best to explain this to me, but I couldn't find the brake.
I was going down hill backwards and gathering speed.
We took our Rosaries and arm bands and literature onto the walking street, and all morning I was proved right. We did not make enough cash to pay the Diesel, let alone the food bills.
Having Mikey and Dave to stay has added a great deal to our expenses.
It is such a privilege to have them but with two extra and sometimes three extra hungry mouths to feed has doubled our expenses.
Electricity is more than doubled.
Water consumption and waste water is also 2 to 3 times more.
By midday we were really not cutting the mustard so after prayer we decided to go to a small town called MUCH.
To our joy we found a Shell garage which was selling Diesel at a very very reasonable price and so we took the opportunity to fill the tank.
Yes this made me pleased a bit.
Over Halloween we had spent over a 100 Euro on fun and food and treats.
Now in Much we needed to make at least 50 E to make up.
For some reason the Children Money office each October decides not to give us more Kindergeld..
Crazy and so we have to fight for it..
Last week we did our fighting and they said they would send it, but it did not arrive.
I tried to put a brave face on all these factors and spent 2 hours in Much getting no where and instead of thinking about all the souls I should be winning onto the right path as I usually do I just got more discouraged.
Irmgard cheerful and unworried as usual was working in a car park independently from me.
When I got back to her and it was time to head for home, I found that she had had a wonderful time and many Rosaries and Literature out and many people helped in their faith.. I was a real shamer and to top it all she had 45 Euro which with my measly 5 made the 50 we had prayed for. The Children money also arrived..
God had blessed her and not me for obvious reasons.
When will I ever learn???

Jesus' message unlike all other religious messages, was about forgiveness.
NO VIOLENCE....NO PUSHING ONES PROGRAMME...Just Forgiveness..
I like to use the word forgiveness instead of LOVE because Love is easily misunderstood and like the word gay has been hi jacked by evil.

Prayer changes me
I have listened to this over and over. Prayer does not change the mind of God BUT changes me. I cannot manipulate God instead I must try and get into HIS Groove as He already knows best. I should know these things and so should you but we have to be continually reminded and that is where we all need to be so thankful to these deep and yet simple reflections by Father Bob.
The heart of Jesus' teaching is forgiveness. So True.. Every disagreement and fight I have ever had was because I would not forgive and/or the other person would not forgive. Just imagine if let's say the Palestinians would forgive the Jews for grabbing their lands so unjustly. It would look like a walk over for the Jews and it would be especially when one leaves God out of the equation. Think what God would do in such a case for the Palestinian cause in terms of eternity. Our vision is limited by what we think is just and unjust. But His ways are so much higher than our ways as the Heavens are higher than the earth Isaiah Ch 55 v 8 and 9.
Without continual reminders from anointed men of God like Father Bob, where would we be? Where would I be? This is rather long, sorry! But please listen and re listen and then pass this info on. It is world changing stuff.

It is very similar to the idea that Jesus was just a good man and a moral teacher.
He taught love and was a great Guru and nothing more.

Therefore He was either God or a very bad wicked megalomaniac.
You cannot just brush him off with the good person nonsense.
The same applies to the Roman Catholic Church.
You will have to make a decision.
Either this Church is the Truth or it is totally deluded.

We live in extraordinary times.
Materialism is now the number one religion in the West.
For most part Christians are now in a very sad state.
Like never before we need UNITY and to all be singing from the same Hymn Sheet.
This was Jesus' wish in John Ch 17...Someone is being very disobedient
We Catholics already have a very tough and long lasting structure in place.
You Protesters do not.
We Catholics are hated by the Media for our stand against abortion, homosexual marriage, artificial birth control, euthanasia, divorce and many other important topics such as forbidding the Bible and religious instruction in School etc etc..
The fact that the Media hate us is a very strong indication that we are the TRUTH as otherwise the Media would love us and leave us alone.
The Media for the most part leaves you alone....
I wonder why???
Maybe because you are not there in significant numbers to pose a threat to the Media????
Maybe they can't find you???
Maybe you do not speak up and even if you do, do you really pose a threat?

Today, the 16th of October when I went to confession, and FOR YOU Sola ScrituraITES. the Bible reference would be John Ch 20 verses 22 and 23 and Matthew Ch 18 verses 18 and 19, I was so encouraged to hear the following from The Priest ???? who when I had told him how easily I get discouraged, told me that as long as we remain very small in front of God He will take all our failures from trying to achieve holiness, all the broken pieces, and make them into a crown and place it on our heads.
PRETTY ENCOURAGING!!!
I AM QUITE SURE THAT IF YOU WILL TAKE THE TIME TO CAREFULLY LISTEN TO PETER KREEFTS ARGUMENTS, THEN YOU WILL SEE THINGS DIFFERENTLY.

Cosy Christianity.
As Roman Catholics we are really quite unlike all other brands of Christianity, all 30,000 different denominations, with the exception of the Orthodox and maybe a few others that I do not know about.
We do not just believe in Jesus, we actually have Jesus.
He gives Himself to us in the form of His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity at every Holy Mass and He is there very humbly taking up His position in the Tabernacle and in the Monstrances, in a voluntary Prison so that we can talk to Him face to face.
That is so awesome if you take time to think about it.
I do not know about you but I need constant reminders about all these marvellous aspects of our Faith.
Why?
Because I tend to take them for granted.
Human Nature is such that we soon take matters for granted and become complacent.
In many ways those early Christians had it better.
In their time, to become a Christian was extremely dangerous.
Martyrdom at the hands of the Roman World rulers was almost inevitable as they were hounded all around the Empire.
I heard that most of the first 30 Popes were martyred.
It was difficult for them to become complacent in such a dangerous environment.
It was obvious to them that they were in a Spiritual War which turned very Physical when they got into the hands of their enemies.
For us it is not so obvious but it is just as real.
The war is raging all around us.
In our country, in our towns and cities and yes even in our homes and yes even in our very selves.
It's a Battle every day and even every hour.
It's a battle to stay calm when everything seems to be going wrong.
It's a battle to Pray.
It's a battle to read the Word and
It is even a greater Battle to do as we are told by the Word Himself.
I love and greatly appreciate being in the Legion of Mary.
I have nearly completed my first 3 months and will soon be inducted in as a full time member along with my wife.
Frank Duff the founder has written a very exhaustive and well written Hand book and if you ever get the chance please try and get a hold of one and read it.
It is really good stuff and very demanding, no cosy Christianity here.
So what do I mean about the Title of this letter? Cosy Christianity?
Let me try and explain.
It is kind of like I am all right and you are all right and really everything is quite all right too.
I do not know what you have found, but I find the closer I try to walk with Jesus, the more I see how much mercy I need and how much of a sinner I am.
My favourite prayer when I catch myself not praying is “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner!”
Then I adapt it to include the members of my family and friends and even my enemies.
I became a Protestant Christian 46 years ago because a friend took the trouble to tell me about Jesus and invite me to on fire meetings where the challenge of Jesus was being preached.
What is the Great Challenge of Jesus??
Follow me and I will make you Fishers of men.
Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.
As My Father sent Me so send I you.
And you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you and you shall be my witnesses first in Jerusalem and then in Judea and in Samaria and then to the uttermost parts of the world.
Go therefore and make disciples of all Nations and I will never leave you nor forsake you.
These are all very well known verses but are they in the forefront of our thinking?
As I have many time pointed out we are in a very serious war and we have been asked to follow in the footsteps of Our Saviour who left Heaven and His Father's House to make a very humble invasion of our planet in the form of a little baby born of a Virgin and then die voluntarily for me and you to save us from our sins.
I have done my going into all the world bit but now I have 2 small kids in school and so I cant just take off like I did in the past.
You with your commitments are probably in the same position.
So where is My Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and Uttermost parts of the earth??
They are all right around here where I live.
Real Christianity in many parts of Europe is fast dying out.
The Catholic Church is struggling but by no way defeated.
The Church is a mission field in itself.
Materialism has taken over from Christianity and people are dying and going to ?????????
That is worrying and if one takes the time to think about this, I believe it will help you to get into action.
The Cosy part of Christianity is a part but not the whole.!
If you are just on the Cosy side then I think we will pretty embarrassed to meet Jesus!

I know that I need to be continually reminded about these things. It is no good just telling me once.
It's like the Eucharist and confession.. We get told and soon the ideas behind this get dull and blunt.
We all need continual reminding in my opinion.
We all need continual challenging.
We all need continual encouraging.
We are all sinners and so easily get lulled into a false sense of I AM OK... YOU ARE OK.... WE ARE ALL OK....
I was eventually very politely asked to leave the Emmaus fellowship as a result of writing the following letter which did not get posted. I am not bitter and it is impossible to legislate righteousness and I think it is actually a very god solution. I tried but I failed. I know that Jesus understands and I have no ill feelings but would prefer to write what I feel is important and not through some guidelines.
By the way there is Daily Gospel where there is also a very good reflections chosen from Doctors of the Church and famous saints.

I said I would not write more but I would ask nanciejh to hold on a bit. Terry we all love and all she has to do is to allow us to say what we think is important. Discussing the Tau and Saint Francis if this is done in the spirit of trying to help and evangelise the hurting world, may be ok.. it's hard to see how but it may be ok. But restricting us to some rules and regulations which may have been made without the hurting world in vision would be a great mistake. I need evangelising and encouraging often. You do too if you are honest. It is so easy to get into what I call cosy Christianity and forget that we are in a war of the worlds.
That is why I like the Catholicism Project. Also EWTN.. They know that a war is raging and they are doing everything like Frank Pavone and so many others to promote a Spirit of lets do something about it. Talking about it is great but we need to apply these daily scriptures to the task on hand. EVANGELISING EACH OTHER AND THE HURTING WORLD AROUND US . Let me tell you story from Amy Carmichael which had a great effect on me when I was a Protestant doing very little for Jesus except going to meetings.
She had a dream. You may know this but it is worth repeating....In her dream she saw a waterfall in the distance. As she grew closer she realised that the water was not H2O but human bodies falling off a cliff into the sea like lemmings. She started to do something about it as the people were blindly walking to their death. She told them to turn around and she managed to get a few to push back against the masses. Then she asked where the Christians were???? The Lord in her dream showed her groups of people sitting in circles on the open grass a little way off from the masses and they were so busy... So very very busy... Doing What???? Making Daisy Chains.
The point of my story is obvious. We have all from time to time made Spiritual Daisy Chains. We need to stop and encourage each other to be doers and prayers of the Word especially the Rosary. We do not as Catholics just believe in Jesus as Protestants do WE HAVE JESUS AND WE HAVE HIM ALL THE TIME IN THE TABERNACLE AND IN THE MONSTRANCES AND IN EVERY MASS WE PARTAKE AND EAT HIS BODY... IT IS AWESOME!!!!!
The Prots can never win the world for the Kingdom of God. They do not even use the secret weapon of OUR MOTHER MARY. They are fighting with their hands tied behind their backs and split into 30,000 different denominations.
They have no unity and it is just a free for all.
I hope this helps to clear matters up and what is really important.. we need to catch fire... If we do this then others will come to watch us burn... Jesus said that He had come to bring Fire on Earth... Luke Ch 12 verse 49..

WHO NEEDS EVANGELISM?
Our Holy Mother Church, and the WORD of GOD is telling us time and time again, through our leaders the Popes about the importance of evangelism. We are to reach out to the hurting world. But How??
Saint Faustina who died on my Mum's birthday October the 5th 1938 and 48 days before I was born writes the following, but first my comments!
In today's Liturgical readings we hear that the fault lies not with the Heathen, the Unchurched but listen very carefully with ME and you.
We who should know better are not doing the job.
Not only are we not doing it but we seem so satisfied with our little sharing here and there.
This reflection from a very special Polish saint got me into thinking and writing.
Why do I write at all?
Is it to show off my spirituality?
If I am honest, Yes that would be sadly one of my motives which I try to fight against.
Is it to get others and myself, because all we write speaks so loudly first to ourselves, to start jumping into action?
Yes hopefully that would be my very strongest motivation.
That should be the motivation behind everything I write.
At this point in time, I am firmly convinced that one of the most powerful ways to change the hurting world is through directly our Holy Mother the Virgin Mary.
We have the Rosary prayer. Many of us are faithful to say it. BUT and there is a big BUT,
Do we know and fully realise the power of this extraordinary prayer?
Do we promote this prayer to our friends and associates reminding them of its real importance at such a time like this?
Or are we more busy with other spiritual things or things which look spiritual?
When we do these spiritual things are we directly concerned for reaching out and instructing those who should no better to jump into action.
Someone wrote that the reason evil prevails is because good men sit around and do so little to stop it.
As an Ambassador for the Catholicism project of Word on Fire of Father Robert Barron, it would be impossible for me to keep quiet and settle down under some rules and regulations which are not continually drawing attention to the need for Evangelism in this Hurting World.
If you would like to know what I and my wife personally do in Evangelism every day, I will happily tell you. For many of you it would sound like a great deal BUT it is only a drop in the Ocean.
Until we all Catch the WORD ON FIRE VISION we are just paddling around having fun in the puddles at the beach edge.

As Roman Catholics we are really quite unlike all other brands of Christianity, all 30,000 different denominations, with the exception of the Orthodox and maybe a few others that I do not know about.
We do not just believe in Jesus, we actually have Jesus.
He gives Himself to us in the form of His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity at every Holy Mass and He is there very humbly taking up His position in the Tabernacle and in the Monstrances, in a voluntary Prison so that we can talk to Him face to face.
That is so awesome if you take time to think about it.
I do not know about you but I need constant reminders about all these marvellous aspects of our Faith.
Why?
Because I tend to take them for granted.
Human Nature is such that we soon take matters for granted and become complacent.
In many ways those early Christians had it better.
In their time, to become a Christian was extremely dangerous.
Martyrdom at the hands of the Roman World rulers was almost inevitable as they were hounded all around the Empire.
I heard that most of the first 30 Popes were martyred.
It was difficult for them to become complacent in such a dangerous environment.
It was obvious to them that they were in a Spiritual War which turned very Physical when they got into the hands of their enemies.
For us it is not so obvious but it is just as real.
The war is raging all around us.
In our country, in our towns and cities and yes even in our homes and yes even in our very selves.
It's a Battle every day and even every hour.
It's a battle to stay calm when everything seems to be going wrong.
It's a battle to Pray.
It's a battle to read the Word and
It is even a greater Battle to do as we are told by the Word Himself.
I love and greatly appreciate being in the Legion of Mary.
I have nearly completed my first 3 months and will soon be inducted in as a full time member along with my wife.
Frank Duff the founder has written a very exhaustive and well written Hand book and if you ever get the chance please try and get a hold of one and read it.
It is really good stuff and very demanding, no cosy Christianity here.
So what do I mean about the Title of this letter? Cosy Christianity?
Let me try and explain.
It is kind of like I am all right and you are all right and really everything is quite all right too.
I do not know what you have found, but I find the closer I try to walk with Jesus, the more I see how much mercy I need and how much of a sinner I am.
My favourite prayer when I catch myself not praying is “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner!”
Then I adapt it to include the members of my family and friends and even my enemies.
I became a Protestant Christian 46 years ago because a friend took the trouble to tell me about Jesus and invite me to on fire meetings where the challenge of Jesus was being preached.
What is the Great Challenge of Jesus??
Follow me and I will make you Fishers of men.
Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.
As My Father sent Me so send I you.
And you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you and you shall be my witnesses first in Jerusalem and then in Judea and in Samaria and then to the uttermost parts of the world.
Go therefore and make disciples of all Nations and I will never leave you nor forsake you.
These are all very well known verses but are they in the forefront of our thinking?
As I have many time pointed out we are in a very serious war and we have been asked to follow in the footsteps of Our Saviour who left Heaven and His Father's House to make a very humble invasion of our planet in the form of a little baby born of a Virgin and then die voluntarily for me and you to save us from our sins.
I have done my going into all the world bit but now I have 2 small kids in school and so I cant just take off like I did in the past.
You with your commitments are probably in the same position.
So where is My Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and Uttermost parts of the earth??
They are all right around here where I live.
Real Christianity in many parts of Europe is fast dying out.
The Catholic Church is struggling but by no way defeated.
The Church is a mission field in itself.
Materialism has taken over from Christianity and people are dying and going to ?????????
That is worrying and if one takes the time to think about this, I believe it will help you to get into action.
The Cosy part of Christianity is a part but not the whole.!
If you are just on the Cosy side then I think we will pretty embarrassed to meet Jesus!

I know that I need to be continually reminded about these things. It is no good just telling me once.
It's like the Eucharist and confession.. We get told and soon the ideas behind this get dull and blunt.
We all need continual reminding in my opinion.
We all need continual challenging.
We all need continual encouraging.
We are all sinners and so easily get lulled into a false sense of I AM OK... YOU ARE OK.... WE ARE ALL OK....
I was eventually very politely asked to leave the Emmaus fellowship as a result of writing the following letter which did not get posted. I am not bitter and it is impossible to legislate righteousness and I think it is actually a very god solution. I tried but I failed. I know that Jesus understands and I have no ill feelings but would prefer to write what I feel is important and not through some guidelines.

I said I would not write more but I would ask nanciejh to hold on a bit. Terry we all love and all she has to do is to allow us to say what we think is important. Discussing the Tau and Saint Francis if this is done in the spirit of trying to help and evangelise the hurting world, may be ok.. it's hard to see how but it may be ok. But restricting us to some rules and regulations which may have been made without the hurting world in vision would be a great mistake. I need evangelising and encouraging often. You do too if you are honest. It is so easy to get into what I call cosy Christianity and forget that we are in a war of the worlds.
That is why I like the Catholicism Project. Also EWTN.. They know that a war is raging and they are doing everything like Frank Pavone and so many others to promote a Spirit of lets do something about it. Talking about it is great but we need to apply these daily scriptures to the task on hand. EVANGELISING EACH OTHER AND THE HURTING WORLD AROUND US . Let me tell you story from Amy Carmichael which had a great effect on me when I was a Protestant doing very little for Jesus except going to meetings.
She had a dream. You may know this but it is worth repeating....In her dream she saw a waterfall in the distance. As she grew closer she realised that the water was not H2O but human bodies falling off a cliff into the sea like lemmings. She started to do something about it as the people were blindly walking to their death. She told them to turn around and she managed to get a few to push back against the masses. Then she asked where the Christians were???? The Lord in her dream showed her groups of people sitting in circles on the open grass a little way off from the masses and they were so busy... So very very busy... Doing What???? Making Daisy Chains.
The point of my story is obvious. We have all from time to time made Spiritual Daisy Chains. We need to stop and encourage each other to be doers and prayers of the Word especially the Rosary. We do not as Catholics just believe in Jesus as Protestants do WE HAVE JESUS AND WE HAVE HIM ALL THE TIME IN THE TABERNACLE AND IN THE MONSTRANCES AND IN EVERY MASS WE PARTAKE AND EAT HIS BODY... IT IS AWESOME!!!!!
The Prots can never win the world for the Kingdom of God. They do not even use the secret weapon of OUR MOTHER MARY. They are fighting with their hands tied behind their backs and split into 30,000 different denominations.
They have no unity and it is just a free for all.
I hope this helps to clear matters up and what is really important.. we need to catch fire... If we do this then others will come to watch us burn... Jesus said that He had come to bring Fire on Earth... Luke Ch 12 verse 49..

WHO NEEDS EVANGELISM?
Our Holy Mother Church, and the WORD of GOD is telling us time and time again, through our leaders the Popes about the importance of evangelism. We are to reach out to the hurting world. But How??
Saint Faustina who died on my Mum's birthday October the 5th 1938 and 48 days before I was born writes the following, but first my comments!
In today's Liturgical readings we hear that the fault lies not with the Heathen, the Unchurched but listen very carefully with ME and you.
We who should know better are not doing the job.
Not only are we not doing it but we seem so satisfied with our little sharing here and there.
This reflection from a very special Polish saint got me into thinking and writing.
Why do I write at all?
Is it to show off my spirituality?
If I am honest, Yes that would be sadly one of my motives which I try to fight against.
Is it to get others and myself, because all we write speaks so loudly first to ourselves, to start jumping into action?
Yes hopefully that would be my very strongest motivation.
That should be the motivation behind everything I write.
At this point in time, I am firmly convinced that one of the most powerful ways to change the hurting world is through directly our Holy Mother the Virgin Mary.
We have the Rosary prayer. Many of us are faithful to say it. BUT and there is a big BUT,
Do we know and fully realise the power of this extraordinary prayer?
Do we promote this prayer to our friends and associates reminding them of its real importance at such a time like this?
Or are we more busy with other spiritual things or things which look spiritual?
When we do these spiritual things are we directly concerned for reaching out and instructing those who should no better to jump into action.
Someone wrote that the reason evil prevails is because good men sit around and do so little to stop it.
As an Ambassador for the Catholicism project of Word on Fire of Father Robert Barron, it would be impossible for me to keep quiet and settle down under some rules and regulations which are not continually drawing attention to the need for Evangelism in this Hurting World.
If you would like to know what I and my wife personally do in Evangelism every day, I will happily tell you. For many of you it would sound like a great deal BUT it is only a drop in the Ocean.
Until we all Catch the WORD ON FIRE VISION we are just paddling around having fun in the puddles at the beach edge.
For those of you in the Garden this will be my last effort at trying to get through to you.

Taking a stance against Abortion, Artificial Birth Control. Defending the family. Against divorce, upholding the sanctity of marriage.. Why did Jesus bother with his first miracle if it was not to show that Marriage was important. Why did Jesus opt for his own water baptism if baptism was not necessary. Why did he ordain 12 and give them power to forgive and retain sins.
Why did Jesus not go chasing after the 58 who backslid in John 6 66??
Why ???
Why did they take the breaking of bread so seriously and not just gather round and listen to great teachers like Billy Graham?
Why did the early Church uphold the REAL Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist??
Why did the early church have a structure modelled on the Roman Empire with a Pyramid and the Emperor at the top and then lesser leaders all the way down to just the Laity like u and me?
Where does the Bible say that it is the sole authority??? Where which scripture??? 2 tim 3 16 does not say that..
You can blabber on about your Roman Catholic Bible and say how you follow it..
Have you forsaken all and given all your money to the poor and are now just following Jesus.??

Are you going into all the world living entirely by faith like Jesus commanded.

The next step is to examine Jesus Christ and the extraordinary spread of Christianity all over the World in the first 5 centuries after His death and resurrection.
Jesus' message unlike all other religious messages, was about forgiveness.

I like to use the word forgiveness instead of LOVE because Love is easily misunderstood and like the word gay has been hi jacked by evil.

They say rather obviously that the very best place to begin is at the beginning.
I am writing this with two very precious young ladies in mind.
One was the subject of great cruelty at my hands when I dealt harshly with her and her Mum some 18 years ago.
At the time I thought that I had done the right thing but the consequences that followed my action produced great and unnecessary pain especially for the young girl of 11.
Now this extremely precious and unique young lady in her thirties, hates religion and wants no part in it.
Mercifully they have both forgiven me but want no part of my beliefs..
Under the circumstances that is totally understandable and so I am having a shot at trying to reverse the hatred for religion and especially the Roman Catholic Church.

If there is an explosion in the City Centre killing scores of people, It must have been caused by someone or something.

But with only a limited education in Algebra, to have a Design, not just a simple random design but the most intricate and totally intelligent design of the Human Brain for example or the Galaxies or the structure of a Plant or Animal... The mind boggles at it all???? there must be a designer.
So can we say now that there is a Designer?

They say rather obviously that the very best place to begin is at the beginning.
I am writing this with two very precious young ladies in mind.
One was the subject of great cruelty at my hands when I dealt harshly with her and her Mum some 18 years ago.
At the time I thought that I had done the right thing but the consequences that followed my action produced great and unnecessary pain especially for the young girl of 11.
Now this extremely precious and unique young lady in her thirties, hates religion and wants no part in it.
Mercifully they have both forgiven me but want no part of my beliefs..
Under the circumstances that is totally understandable and so I am having a shot at trying to reverse the hatred for religion and especially the Roman Catholic Church.

THE CRUX OF THE MATTER
The Crux of the Matter!!!!!
I really like to make things easy!!!
I really like to boil things down!!!
I really like to be simple!!!
Why??
Because I am a simple kind of guy!
WHAT REALLY IS THE PROBLEM???
Why is Jesus' prayer in John Chapter 17 not being answered?? At least not yet!
How has Satan really divided us into so many different denominations??
Some say 38,000 and some say just 38.
38 is bad enough...
38 is a long way from the number ONE!
If you understand what I am going to tell you, it doesn't matter if you are
Protestant... one of 38 or 38,000 different denominations...
Catholic.... Lapsed but baptised...
Catholic.....Regular church goer because your Mummy and Daddy always took you to church.
Catholic....I go to Church when I feel like it....OR...
What I call a Cardinal Newman Catholic....for want of a better example... Of course there are many.. He is however pretty topical as Pope Benedict the 16th just paid a very successful visit to the UK to Beatify this great Englishman...
It all boils down to the EUCHARIST..
Symbol???? or.. THE REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS CHRIST who promised to never leave us nor forsake us??????..
Now presumably if given a choice, you would want to be in the very first Church.
Why??
Because Jesus personally set this up.
This Jesus Church went on in a unified and structured manner through much suffering and hardship with thousands of Martyrs.
These Martyrs included the majority of all the first 30 Church Leaders or Popes as we now call them.
These Martyrs were so successful that the Pagan Roman Empire eventually gave way to Christianity.
One more thing is very essential....
What is it???
One must have an enquiring mind...
One must have a seeking mind...
One must never be satisfied with the state of affairs as it is.
We either move forward to loving and knowing Jesus more and more each day or we gradually in a hardly noticeable way start to backslide.
I too cannot be satisfied with the little I understand so far in my late life...
There are Unfathomable Oceans to swim in and I am still paddling in the shallows...
That is a fact and that is why this Jesus and His Church and His Kingdom is so amazing
and fascinating and demanding...
That good old Protestant song which I love so dearly...
EVERY DAY WITH JESUS IS BETTER THAN THE DAY BEFORE...
If this is not true in your life....THEN SOMETHING IS WRONG...
You are shooting too low.
I am shooting for the skies and I still haven't reached the ceiling..

Have you ever wondered why God sometimes answers prayer and sometimes He doesn't???
Of course the reasons that I am going to put here are nothing original from me.
I learn everything from teachers who have studied and know so much more than I do.
In Jesus' famous statement in Matthew Chapter 7 verse 7 and verse 8
[7] Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. [8] For every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened. [
So there are apparently three kinds of people.. SEEKING
1. Those who have been seeking the Truth and have found it...
2. Those who are seeking the Truth and have not found it yet... they will soon move up into the 1st category...
3. Those who are not seeking the Truth and will never find it
4. Those who are not seeking the Truth and then find the Truth.... This last category does not exist...
THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT FACT and I will try and tell you why?
God only answers prayer when we are really serious about it... We have to always be seekers..
Let me give you an example..
20 years ago Irmgard and I met a Lady in Nurnberg railway station who quite amazingly gave us 2000 DM just out of the blue.
We really needed that cash at that time and it came at a very opportune moment.
Why is it that this kind of miracle does not happen every day??
Because those in Category 4 would be forced to believe without really seeking.
The 1st and 2nd categories would get lazy and expect a continual shower of always answered prayer and Faith would go out of the window.
Hebrews Ch 11 verse 6 says that without faith it is impossible to please God
I hope that was helpful.
Here is another example from yesterday.
We had witnessed all morning distributing our Home made Rosaries for a small donation.
Now there were hardly any body on the streets and I was contemplating packing up when a lady right out of the blue approached us and asked us for a Rosary and gave us a much needed small donation.
This was our cue to continue, remembering the quote... When you witness you always win...
For the next hour we did not do very well and then as we got desperately seeking, we started to do well again....Doing well or not financially is not the main point but in our work counselling people on the street we also need to make enough to live...
Today Irmgard never gave up and the very last person she talked to before getting in the car, gave her a much needed donation for a book by Frank Duff of the Legion of Mary.
I hope this was helpful... By the way I learned this from Peter Kreeth...I hope you listened to him...and to Tim Staples....

These words from Christ today give us a great opportunity to decide on which side we really want to be.
If you are a Protestant Christian, sadly divided from the Roman Catholic Church, maybe a good test would be to take yourself back 2000 years and read the many accounts of the Early Church Fathers, which is easily researched on the Internet using Google, and ask yourself the following question???
“Would I with my particular little slant on Christianity with my own private interpretation, be at HOME in a Liturgical Church with Bishops and a Structure and a 100% Eucharistic belief in the REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS CHRIST IN THE CONSECRATED BREAD AND WINE.”
Would I be at home where sins were confessed to Ordained Priests who would have the authority to either forgive or retain my sins?
Today would be a good opportunity in light of this famous Gospel reading to decide once and for all.
My Prayers are with you as you make this tough decision.
As for me and mine, by the Grace of God, we will strive desperately to be on the right side, daily, right up to the very end of this life. Lord Jesus help us all to make the right decision.

I am wondering why I got so few replies to this Master Piece of Apologetics???
What is mjk trying to do?
Why doesn't he just leave us alone?
We want our peace?
Why doesn't he just shut up?
I can just hear many of you saying remarks like that out aloud or in your thoughts!
Why do I bother to continue to send you such well thought out arguments and defences for the Roman Catholic Church??

Why??
Because of the following.......
1st if the Catholic Church is not the TRUTH then it is the biggest lie ever..
It is a lie that has lasted from the time of the Apostles until now.
It's a lie that just wont go away.
All the so called reformers split and many have almost totally faded away.
None of them are really doing any good and having a real influence in this world. Read On..Read on!!!
The doctrine of this Church has never changed even though their have been many bad people including wicked Popes etc
It is very similar to the idea that Jesus was just a good man and a moral teacher.
He taught love and was a great Guru and nothing more.
The fact is He was either God or a very very bad man.
Why???
Because He claimed to be God!
Therefore He was either God or a very bad wicked megalomaniac.
You cannot just brush him off with the good person nonsense.
The same applies to the Roman Catholic Church.
You will have to make a decision.
Either this Church is the Truth or it is totally deluded.
No middle ground..
No comfortable... they are not bad chaps...
We live in extraordinary times.
Materialism is now the number one religion in the West.
For most part Christians are now in a very sad state.
Like never before we need UNITY and to all be singing from the same Hymn Sheet.
This was Jesus' wish in John Ch 17...Someone is being very disobedient
We Catholics already have a very tough and long lasting structure in place.
You Protesters do not.
We Catholics are hated by the Media for our stand against abortion, homosexual marriage, artificial birth control, euthanasia, divorce and many other important topics such as forbidding the Bible and religious instruction in School etc etc..
The fact that the Media hate us is a very strong indication that we are the TRUTH as otherwise the Media would love us and leave us alone.
The Media for the most part leaves you alone....

Today, the 16th of October when I went to confession, and FOR YOU Sola ScrituraITES. the Bible reference would be John Ch 20 verses 22 and 23 and Matthew Ch 18 verses 18 and 19, I was so encouraged to hear the following from The Priest ???? who when I had told him how easily I get discouraged, told me that as long as we remain very small in front of God He will take all our failures from trying to achieve holiness, all the broken pieces, and make them into a crown and place it on our heads.
PRETTY ENCOURAGING!!!
I AM QUITE SURE THAT IF YOU WILL TAKE THE TIME TO CAREFULLY LISTEN TO PETER KREEFTS ARGUMENTS, THEN YOU WILL SEE THINGS DIFFERENTLY.

39 years ago, I joined the Jesus movement.
This was a movement born in California amongst the Hippies and surfers and drop outs of the late 60s and 70s.
I was in this group for a quarter of a century!
5 years earlier I had given my heart to Jesus on a railway train one cold February morning shortly after the death of a great statesman, Sir Winston Churchill.
I was in and out of many different denominations as I looked for something to really give my life too.
IF JESUS WAS WORTH FOLLOWING, HE WAS WORTH FOLLOWING ALL THE WAY.
I COULD NOT SETTLE FOR JUST CHURCH BENCH WARMING AND OCCASIONAL BIBLE STUDY.
First I tried my own branch, the Church of England. Then a revolutionary branch of the Baptists, known as the Navigators.
I owe a great deal to the Navs as they taught me to memorise key verses of The Holy Bible and how to witness effectively. I loved to witness!!!! I still do and do it every day except Sundays and even then I do if I get the chance.
I do not want to arrive in Eternal Life alone. I want to bring many others along with me.
I also tried the Brethren and the Methodists and all kinds and shapes and sizes of the Pentecostal world.

When I was absolutely desperate, the Lord sent along the Jesus movement of the Children of God.
The COG was everything that I was looking for and more.
It was a life of total faith and commitment and witnessing every day.
It hit London and England like a storm or rather a powerful breath of the Holy Spirit.
With no visible means of support except blind faith in the promises of Jesus Christ in the Bible we were soon in a very few years expanding all over the world.
Back to the point of this true story.
Our first Community was in a warehouse, a disused Factory belonging to a Mr Frampton in Bromley Kent.
One of his sons joined the group, much to his dismay. Mr F was a kind of solid evangelical.. a branch of the Brethren, I think??
As I was the oldest being 30 or 31, I was often being used to explain the group to Reporters, Police, Parents and many a time to Mr Frampton himself.
He would keep saying to me that he was very suspicious of the COG and why was I not thankful for just being an EVANGELICAL?????
This was before they embraced a sexual revolution for which they eventually became notorious.
I SAID TO HIM AND TO THE MANY VISITORS WHO ASKED ME SIMILAR QUESTIONS.....
Show me something better and I will for sure join it.
Catholicism was out of the question as in England the ANTI CATHOLIC DISINFORMATION
PROGRAMME had been very successful and was branded a false form of Christianity... Bells...Smells...Priests dressed up as women..
Later after watching and amazing Zeffirelli movie, BROTHER SUN and sister moon, on the life of Saint Francis of Assissi, I did begin to see that we in the COG were not unique.
Now my challenge to you, this early morning on October the 5th, my Mothers Birthday and also the Saints day of Faustina who died as I was born 48 days later.....Show me something better than the Roman Catholic Faith....
Show me a faith that has stood its ground for 2000 years.
Show me a faith that has such an enormous impact on this modern world and makes headline news regularly, even if sometimes it is only our sad errors.
Do you mean to tell me that there is no Paedophilia in Protestantism?
Of course there is but nobody cares or just very few.
What group runs more Hospitals, Charities, Hospices, Schools and places of Higher education?
Look at the publicity our Church got as Pope B16 went to the UK and confounded all the angry PROTESTERS!!!
If the leader of a Protestant sect even a so called main line one like Methodists or C of E would commit adultery it would make very little news, but if our Pope gets knocked down by accident by an over enthusiastic lady, it is headlines on CNN and BBC.

Yes!, I am a confrontational kind of person.
I try not to soft soap people just to get their friendship and financial help!
Yes!! I have done that in the past and it sickens me.
I sincerely believe that after wandering around in the PROTESTING wilderness for almost 40 years, that I have at last entered into the Promised Land of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH.
I totally realise that my Church is far from perfect and if it was, which it isn't, then me joining it would have immediately made it IMPERFECT.
I also sincerely believe that if anybody, and I mean anybody, who stops and takes the time to study History and especially Church, Bible, History will tumble to the fact that this Church really is the Church that Jesus promised to build and maintain until the end of the age. (See Matthew Chapter 16 verse 18.)
Having followed the events of the last week end only goes to prove just how powerful (in the Spirit that is), my Church really is..
The opposition was just feeble and was swept away by the Charm, Humility, Shyness, Unobtrusiveness and just sheer Love of our very own dear B16. Pope Benedict the 16th.
He for sure was not a compromiser and spoke on all the subjects that would have been dubbed controversial.
He did not flinch from his responsibilities as a leader of the only really effective group of Christians on this Planet.
The Pope has routed his enemies and brought joy to the faithful
The last four days began in anxiety, but ended in euphoria
John Henry Newman, now Blessed John Henry Newman is best remembered by me for saying something like the following when he was being warned by his friends that he would lose everything if he changed over to the Roman Catholic Church...”One Holy Mass is worth more than all the cash and friends in the world.” This was also said by the Cure of Ars Saint John Vianney and all the following quotes are along the same lines.

1.The Holy Mass is Calvary continued.
2.Every Mass is worth as much as the sacrifice of Our Lord’s life, sufferings and death.
3.Holy Mass is the most powerful atonement for your sins.

I sincerely believe that after wandering around in the PROTESTING wilderness for almost 40 years, that I have at last entered into the Promised Land of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH.
I totally realise that my Church is far from perfect and if it was, which it isn't, then me joining it would have immediately made it IMPERFECT.
I also sincerely believe that if anybody, and I mean anybody, who stops and takes the time to study History and especially Church, Bible, History will tumble to the fact that this Church really is the Church that Jesus promised to build and maintain until the end of the age. (See Matthew Chapter 16 verse 18.)
Having followed the events of the last week end only goes to prove just how powerful (in the Spirit that is), my Church really is..
The opposition was just feeble and was swept away by the Charm, Humility, Shyness, Unobtrusiveness and just sheer Love of our very own dear B16. Pope Benedict the 16th.
He for sure was not a compromiser and spoke on all the subjects that would have been dubbed controversial.
He did not flinch from his responsibilities as a leader of the only really effective group of Christians on this Planet.

The Rosary part 2

I am a simple street Missionary along with my wife Irmgard.
We are totally convinced Roman Catholics having converted from Evangelical Protestantism, 25 years in the Children of God sect, about 10 years ago.
As John Henry Newman, who will be beatified tomorrow, says....”One Holy Mass is worth all the cash in the world and all the friends in the world!” or something to that effect.
My wife and I would add a Loud AMEN!!!!
In a few days, next Saturday the 24th, Lord willing! I and my wife will be inaugurated into the Legion of Mary having served our three month probation period.
